Welcome to our website. Here you will find all sorts of information about our church and we hope that you can join us in Sunday worship.

We are a community of faith founded in 2002 as a mission of our Frederick congregation. Building on nearly three centuries of Christian worship, education, and outreach, we seek to shape the lives of coming generations in Southern Frederick County by way of the good news of God's love in Jesus Christ.

Due to snow, all worship services at Urbana Elementary School have been canceled for February 7th.
 
(With all this weekend snow, I think God must be answering student prayers in the Midwest rather than the Mid-Atlantic.)

As I write this, the death toll from the earthquake in Haiti is expected to be 100,000 or more.  The loss of life and the enormous grief that it has produced is impossible for any single one of us to comprehend.  Likewise, the amount of aid required far exceeds anything our small congregation can provide.
 
For this reason, we are joining with the ELCA to provide aid and support.  If you want to give, please follow the instructions in the link below.
 

2010 is upon us!  With all the strangeness and difficulty of 2009, I have to admit that this is good news.
 
But there is more good news than just the feeling of release at the end of things.  There is good news that strong and healthy things are happening in our parish and in our community.
 
First off, we are moving our traditional service a half-hour early to 8:00am.  This will help us establish an hour of education, rehearsal, and fellowship every Sunday morning.
 

This site has been a long time coming.  It's arrival is a great relief as well as a great opportunity.
 
But before any significant thoughts are shared, comments are made, and our electronic life gets underway, let me say that the website is designed to reflect our character as a congregation.
