A few comments on the new website
This site has been a long time coming. It's arrival is a great relief as well as a great opportunity.
But before any significant thoughts are shared, comments are made, and our electronic life gets underway, let me say that the website is designed to reflect our character as a congregation.
This is why the site has numerous links to our Frederick campus site, twinspires.org. For we are one church in two locations.
It is why there is a lot of room for expansion and creativity because we are both creative and growing.
It is why the color scheme is clean and simple and soothing, because this is what all of us need in life.
It is why the header has five different pictures: our logo representing peace found in the cross, our commitment to bringing Christ to families, our firm foundation on the Word of God, and our dependence of God's grace through the sacraments of baptism and communion.
Thus the website, like so much of the Christian faith and tradition, is a symbol of the invisible and the powerful.
I look forward to what this site will be a year from now and hope and pray that it helps all who visit.
